3. TOURIST BOARD CLASSIFICATION AND GRADING — VISITBRITAIN

Milkbere participate in the VisitBritain’s Star Ratings for Self Catering Properties and observe VisitBritain Code of Conduct. We feature properties that have been assessed by the VisitBritain Assessor (a few properties await inspection). All properties have to meet an extensive list of minimum requirements before being considered for a Star Rating. However, Milkbere inspects all properties before featuring in their brochure and do insist that they are up to at least the 2 Star rating and a majority of properties far exceed this.

4. CLEANING

All our properties will be clean when you arrive and we do ask our tenants to please leave the property as clean as they have found it. However, between the previous tenants departure and your arrival, the property will be inspected by the owner/caretaker. There will be surcharge if excess cleaning is required.

5. ARRIVAL

Your property is available from 2.00 p.m. on the day of arrival until 10.00 a.m. on the day you leave. Please keep to these times so that the property can be serviced.

6. NUMBER OF GUESTS

In our description of each property, we stipulate the number of people allowed and this number must not be exceeded. Where the sleep section states two numbers e.g. 2-4, the property ideally accommodates the first number in beds but can provide additional sleeping e.g. convertible settees, folding beds, sometimes more suitable for children.

7. PETS

9. COTTAGES AND LOCATION

The name ‘Cottage’ does not always refer to a traditional style and thatched cottage. When booking older properties, please bear in mind that many were built without damp proof courses or easy stair gradient. Also there can be some noise from farm animals, tractors etc.

10. BUILDING/ROAD WORKS

We will endeavour where possible to inform you of these. Although these can happen at any time without prior notice to us or owners.
