Our first visit to Barley House Barn and we loved it with every comfort in there. We are so glad we found it especially as it was short notice. It was a good time of year to see all the primroses and daffs, watching a rabbit every morning and other wildlife. So thank you for such an enjoyable stay.

P.S. Thank you for the milk and border biscuits – yummy.

A lovely time at the barn once again. The weather was kind to us for the time of year but the barn was cosy and warm. For a nice lunch we recommend The Chattery in Sidmouth, lovely food and great service.
We had a visit to Symondsbury near Bridport where there was a new antiques centre, crafts and restaurant. Well worth a visit then a pint of Palmers 200 in The Illchester Arms is a must.
Thank you Jenny and Peter for your hospitality.

A lovely little place to stay with beautiful views. Highly recommend the Donkey Sanctuary a wonderful cause and we loved it so much we actually visited 4 times.
Also recommend eating at The Dolphin Beer and Eyre Court Seaton

What a good launch pad this place is for all the things to do and see here. The tram was sweet, Beer caves a must see and then go to Colyton Church and The Butcher. Otterton Mill, check for milling days but worth it anyway. Killerton House, Axmouth Church are both lovely. Lyme Regis and the new footpath walkway and museum are great. Aroma splendid coffee and food and not a “kiss me quick” hat in sight. Top of it all with wonderful weather and what more could we ask.

Really a very nice place to stay. Very comfortable and clean. Surrounding area is very nice and local people very friendly. All pubs and eateries are good, easy going establishments with friendly helpful staff. Weather could have been better but did not detract from an enjoyable stay

Great location, quiet but close to destinations, star gazing and bat watching at night. Jurassic coast by day. Beer (the place) lovely and great clifftop walk/ run to Branscombe. Sidmouth very good and architecturally interesting. Lyme Regis splendid – a great fish shop. River Cottage was a little disappointing but Tytherleigh Arms fabulous, great atmosphere with wonderful food and beer (the beverage). Lunch in bread bowls at Town Mill Bakery, Lyme Regis- simple and excellent value. Great cheese shop and brewery nearby at Lyme ………..that’s why I run

A lovely laid back week in East Devon, all places mentioned are worth visiting. Highly recommend the Ship Inn but should book. Came for Sidmouth Folk festival and it did not disappoint.

Thank you so much. Lovely peaceful property with matching owners. Just what I needed. Beer, Branscombe, Axmouth Harbour and Lyme Regis are all lovely.

Really appreciated the peace and quiet here with mostly sunny days too. We walked to the Harbour Inn a few times, traffic not too bad although a footpath would have been great. Food there was good with some different choices. Visited all the nearby seaside places- all so picturesque (except West Bay), but especially loved Lyme Regis. Recommend the Town Mill Bakery for breakfast- huge home-made croissants and great coffee. Otterton Mill was good for cream tea and the lunches looked yummy too- also sell lovely ceramics and glass
Another brilliant week here in Barley House Barn. The peace and quiet cannot be beaten. We had a very relaxing break with a couple of cliff top walks and visits to the local pubs. Watch out for the seagulls in Sidmouth, they steel food from your hands.
Many thanks Malcolm & Jackie – Worcs May 2014
Wonderful location, excellent accommodation – perfect spot for a relaxing holiday. Fred and Valerie.Customer Reviews:
We love Barley House Barn! Beautiful location, quiet and unoverlooked. Accommodation comfy and cosy – very warm even on exceptionally chilly nights. Melanie and David.
What a lovely place to stay! We have really enjoyed the seclusion of this little retreat and have made it a real home from home for our holiday. Thanks for the friendliness and for the advice, we feel we have only scratched the surface in exploring the area. Mike and Chris.

" We will NOT be recommending Barley House Barn to ANY ONE as the thought of finding it fully booked next year would be most upsetting. We love your barn and find it so restful. Thank you for a lovely week. See you next year!" 11th August Karen and Peter
