A little further onto Charmouth with the Heritage Coast Centre offering fossil hunting walks, rock pool rambles and special marine events.
The small thriving market town of Axminster, famous for the Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall 'River Cottage Canteen', shops and weekly street market is a 15 minute drive. Ideally positioned to attend the River Cottage courses, weekend dining and special events at Park Farm, only 15 minute drive. A unique, most convenient and relaxing location for exploring the delights of this pretty area.

'An excellent Flat that is completely new inside, decorated and furnished to an excellent standard with top quality kitchen, TV, furnishings etc. Set within yards of the sea-front it is ideally situated for car-less travellers although a free parking permit was included in the rental. Seaton itself is a little run down and and could do with some tarting up, but on the plus side it means it is not overrun with tourists as are some of the neighbouring coastal resorts. It has a nice feel to it and as most of the people that we met were permanent residents, I'm sure it has a nice community spirit. Unusually for a coastal resort, Seaton is very flat and so everything is very easy to walk to, very suitable for elderly people.' Via Trip Advisor, June 2014.
