Excellent holiday situation with just a two-minute walk to the magnificent mile long beach for swimming, water sports or just lazing in a deck chair.
Stroll along the Esplanade and admire the views of the cliffs and Jurassic coastline with outstanding scenic coastal footpaths to Lyme Regis in one direction and the picturesque fishing village of Beer in the other. Local shops, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes are all to hand. The pretty Axe Harbour with yacht club is a 10-minute walk away. The famous tramway travels along the valley passing Seaton Marshes and Nature Reserves stopping off at Colyford and small market town of Colyton.
The coastal town of Lyme Regis with its famous Cobb of the French Lieutenants fame, interesting individual specialist shops and cinema is a 10 minute drive over the Devon border into Dorset.
The small thriving market town of Axminster, famous for the Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall 'River Cottage Canteen', shops and weekly street market is a 10 minute drive away.
